Singer Katy Perry and her husband Russell Brand’s central Los Angeles home could be on the market sooner than later now that Brand has filed for divorce. The couple purchased the three-story Hollywood Hills mansion last summer for $6.5 million, several months after getting married. The 8,835-square-foot residence has seven bedrooms including guest suites, a four-room master suite and staff quarters, along with nine baths, a media room, pub and study. The nearly three-acre property also includes a swimming pool, outdoor patio areas and a detached guest house.

The estate was built in the mid-1920s, and was sold to the Hollywood couple by former National Lampoon Chief Executive Daniel Laikin. The original asking price was $7.995 million.

Born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson in Santa Barbara, California, Perry, 27, burst on the scene after recording I Kissed a Girl, which became an instant hit on mainstream radio. The British-born Brand, 36, is a comedian and actor, among other gigs, who most recently played the title character in the movie Arthur. He also had roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshal and Get Him to the Greek.
