If you haven’t heard by now, Charlie Sheen is winning on an unprecedented scale all across America. If you’ve missed out on Sheen’s media rounds early this week, please do yourself a favor and get out from the rock under which you’ve been living, as sheen has staked a strong claim to the position of most quotable celebrity of all time – previously held by Mike Tyson – in recent days.

On Tuesday, America’s favorite winner shattered Twitter records as he joined the site and gained 1 million followers in a day. What was his inaugural tweet? “Winning…! Choose your vice…” Three days later, Sheen is showing no signs of slowing down, as he has gained an additional 500,000 followers and is halfway to 2 million. What was his most recent tweet? “The title of my book has finally been delivered through vast and extensive lunar channels. ‘Apocalypse Me’ Warlock Latin for WINNING.” Clearly, the 1.5 million Sheen followers are loving it. Thanks to Sheen, #winning and #tigerblood, which apparently flows through his veins, have been top trending topics on Twitter all week; a clear indication that the man, the myth, the legend Charlie Sheen, is absolutely dominating pop culture at the moment.

It appears that Charlie is keeping himself busy when he’s not shocking America, as lately he has been focused on winning in the real estate game. Recent reports suggest that Sheen has been trying to buy properties for both of his ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller, in an effort to get his kids closer to home. In late February, Sheen made a $6.75 million offer on a mansion for ex-wife Brooke Mueller in the prestigious Mulholland Drive neighborhood of Los Angeles. The marital home that the couple used to live in has been on the market for more than a year now, currently priced at $3.55 million, and features four bedrooms, four bathrooms and countless amenities distributed among 4,179 square feet.

Even more recently, Sheen has reportedly placed an escrow deposit on and signed a sales contract for an additional property, this one in Beverly Hills. Reports indicate that he is buying the house for ex-wife Denise Richards. Six months ago, the property was purchased for $6 million by Mike Medavoy – CEO of Phoenix Pictures – and reports indicate that sheen offered full asking price of $7,495,000. Apparently Sheen was too busy winning to check the market index, as an appreciation in value of $1.495 million in six months in this economy – without extensive improvements, mind you – is laughable. For most of us, overpaying by such a large amount would be unthinkable, but in Charlie’s world, $1.495 million is the result of about 20 minutes of a “Two and a Half Men” episode – or at least it was before he was canned by CBS last week. Easy come, easy go, as they say.

Whether or not Charlie Sheen will close on these two properties is still unclear. One thing, however, is certain: as long as Charlie keeps running his mouth about tiger blood, Adonis DNA, Vatican assassins, his girlfriends The Goddesses, and referring to himself as a “rock star from Mars,” we are all winning.

Here’s a thanks to you, Charlie, for brightening office water cooler discussions across America with each winning sentence uttered.
